Students at Speedway High School are enrolled in social studies classes all four years of their high-school career.
Mrs. Whitney Baker teaches Geography and History of the World to all freshmen.
Mr. Lee Shively teaches either U.S. History or AP U.S. History to all sophomores.
Mr. Nick Beard teaches Psychology for one semester and Economics for one semester to all juniors. He also teaches sections of Law Education and Sociology as electives.
Mr. Robert Lindhorn teaches U.S. Government to all seniors as a two-semester required course.
Beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, seniors will be scheduled to take Government for one semester. They will also take a one-semester elective titled Current Issues. Seniors will have the options to enroll in AP U.S. Government for two semesters.
