A Rich History of Learning

Nestled in the motor sports capital of the world, the School Town of Speedway has been shaping young minds since 1928.

Our four elementary schools—Allison, Fisher, Newby, and Wheeler—are named in honor of the visionaries who founded the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, reflecting the deep ties between our schools and the community’s legendary racing heritage. With a dedicated junior high and high school completing our close-knit district, Speedway has grown into a place where tradition, innovation, and pride intersect. Scroll on to see how nearly a century of education continues to drive our students—and our town—forward.
